BARNSLEY boss Steve Parkin may be tempted into changes for the visit of the Clarets - despite his team's current impressive form.
After battling back from 4-2 down to draw 4-4 at Portsmouth last weekend, former Rochdale boss Parkin could well keep faith with his starting side at Fratton Park.
However, experienced midfielder Eric Tinkler comes into the reckoning.
Tinkler, who joined the Tykes four and a half years ago from Italian league side Cagliari, returned to South Yorkshire in midweek after skippering South Africa in the African Cup of Nations.
Their quarter-final exit at the hands of hosts Mali has led to Tinkler returning to England sooner than expected and he is in contention for a place, though after travelling this week a bench spot may be more likely.
The Tykes only injury problem is a long term one. Steve Hayward is on the road back after 11 months out with a serious knee injury, but he is not expected to be in contention for another three weeks.
Parkin also prepares without Jon Parkin, who went out on loan to third division strugglers York City yesterday, and Matty Appleby, who looks set to join second division Oldham Athletic permanently when his loan spell ends on February 16.
Manager Steve Parkin has also been running the rule over Portuguese defender Artur Jorge in trial matches but whether a decision will be made on signing the defender, currently playing in his home country with Sporting Braga, in time for him to meet the Clarets is debatable.
BARNSLEY (probable): Miller; Mulligan, Barker, Chettle, Regan; Donovan, Jones, Lumsdon, Barnard; Dyer, Sheron
