THE Colts entertained Eccles in the Lancashire Cheshire Colts League game and started poorly by allowing Eccles to get an early try

After the wake up call Leigh started to get into the game by earning a penalty in front of the posts which stand off Eccles slotted over.

Leigh found it tough to break the Eccles defence but when an Eccles penalty failed to find touch, skipper Grimshaw scored in the corner.

The second half started with Leigh struggling with the elements. Eccles capitalised by scoring a converted try under the posts.

Leigh applied the pressure and were on the Eccles line for a long spell but could not get over the line. Eccles scored a breakaway try to give them the victory.
