BARNSLEY boss Steve Parkin thinks winger Glen Little's return from injury has come too early for his side.

Despite the Tykes being on an 11-game unbeaten run in the League, former Rochdale boss Parkin knows Little is one of the main threats - but also knows the Clarets new-look forward line, with the addition of £1m man Robbie Blake, will test his side.

Little was back in the starting eleven for the 2-1 midweek win over Watford after recovering from a hamstring injury which has kept him on the sidelines in recent months.

"They are a quality side going forward," said the 37-year-old, whose side have won five and drawn six of their 11 League ecnounters.

"Glen Little has had a great season and I know Stan will have missed him when he was out.

"He will be more than happy that Glen is back although I am not sure about us!

"But with Robbie Blake, Ian Moore and Gareth Taylor, that will make them a force to be reckoned with going forward."

Saying that, Mike Sheron is proving the Tykes hit man with four goals in the last three games.

"He is not doing too badly," he laughed. "He has ten goals in 13 games and it speaks for itself.

"But we are working as a team. We never know when we are beaten and that was shown when we came back from 4-2 down against Portsmouth to draw 4-4. We do not accept defeat easily."

Since Parkin took over at Oakwell in November, the Tykes have gone from relegation certainties towards mid-table safety - although they are still looking over their shoulders.

While he is concentrating on his own plight, he thinks the Clarets will secure a play-off place.

"Wolves and Manchester City are strong and they will be favourites to go straight up but Burnley will make the play-offs.

"Stan has done a tremendous job there. I don't think anyone expected them to be up there but I think they will stay there until the end.

"I am though just concentrating on us and am looking forward to tomorrow. Burnley always bring plenty of fans and when Wolves came hear the atmosphere was tremendous.

"Hopefully it will be the same as we have a good support so our fans will get behind us."

Meanwhile flying winger Alan Moore looks set for a recall to the Clarets line-up for tomorrow's trip to Oakwell.

The former Middlesbrough player did not travel to Watford for Wednesday's win at Vicarage Road due to a back and hamstring problem.

However, boss Stan Ternent is believed to be ready to slot Moore back into the starting team on the left, allowing Little the chance to switch to his preferred right flank berth.

It promises to be a tough test against the revitalised side and the Clarets are in desperate need for points for their promotion push after three defeats prior to the success over the Hornets.

A potential defensive problem looming on the horizon may not prove to be as desperate as first thought for manager Ternent.

French favourite Arthur Gnohere will miss the trip to Crewe on Saturday, February 23, as he will be suspended after collecting five yellow cards.

Gnohere has been booked in the Clarets last four matches, but skipper Steve Davis may be ready to fill the void.

Long term casualty Davis will not be ready for the South Yorkshire trips to Barnsley and Rotherham next Tuesday night but, having returned to light training, may be in the running for the Gresty Road contest.

Tomorrow's opponents are on an 11-match unbeaten run in the League and welcome back midfielder Eric Tinkler, who returned to England yesterday after serving South Africa as skipper in the African Cup of Nations.

His early return home came after South Africa's quarter-final defeat by hosts Mali.
