HOLKER Old Boys hold a special memory for Stand manager Nick Davis.
His NWCL Division Two leaders went there in only the second game this season and recorded a 1-0 win - their first victory since promotion from the Manchester Premier League.
Now they welcome Holker to Ewood Bridge tomorrow - where the same score would do nicely.
"I remember Holker well. It was a nothing game and Chris Denham scored the winner with probably the only shot.
"Then I was happy with the win as I thought we were trying to avoid relegation.
"Things have changed now."
Stand are 12 points clear at the top and it will take a momumental collapse for the side to slip up.
Even if they have a fixture build up it shouldn't hamper them. They won 14 games on the bounce at the end of last season to clinch the Premier League title.
"We needed 11 points to win and we played Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday and won them all!"
Stand have lost the services of one player, Billy McCartney, who they signed from Trafford a couple of months ago, who has joined First Division Salford.
"It is a blow but they were offering silly money and we couldn't match that."
