THORDUR Gudjonsson has yet to receive his clearance to begin playing for North End.
David Moyes has revealed that a FIFA-imposed transfer embargo is holding up his bid to sign Las Palmas midfielder Thordur Gudjonsson on loan.
The crisis-hit Spanish outfit have been banned from dealing on the transfer market by the game's governing body and North End's efforts to complete a loan deal for Gudjonsson have therefore been hampered by the embargo.
Preston believe that they should still be able to complete the deal for Gudjonsson due to the fact that no fee is involved for the player and Moyes is refusing to give up hope of signing the Iceland international, despite the problems at Las Palmas.
