WELL, the manager promised us goals and goals we got! Four in fact, albeit against a very poor Sheff Wed defence.
But poor defence or not the goals have to be scored, and just recently we have not been doing that.
Now that's all changed, and it was good to see the names of Macken and Healy back on the score sheet, just in time for the big games ahead.
I was speaking with two Southampton season ticket holders who were working in Preston on Tuesday and Wednesday this week and had decided to take in the match.
They were very impressed with the standards of play and the stadium, and enjoyed their visit to Deepdale very much.
I advised them that if they manage to stay in the Premiership it won't be too long before they're coming back!
Dickson Etuhu has made a promising start to his PNE career and seems to be an instant hit with the fans -- and no wonder.
He has impressed in all three games he's played in so far, with a man of the match performance on Tuesday.
The next match, assuming he's picked, will be tough for him away at Man City.
It seems the City fans are going to give him a rough ride, so it's down to all PNE fans who will be at Maine Road to be right behind him, and all the time, on Sunday.
