AT 11pm one recent Friday I received a telephone call from Carelink asking me to check on a relative. It was necessary to send for an ambulance and she was taken to Casualty. Within a couple of hours I received a call to say that she had been admitted.
At a time when the main parties are using the NHS as a political football, I hope that the public will acknowledge that NHS staff are doing their best under difficult circumstances and do not need their efforts undermined by the Government. Would they, or indeed any of us, do the job for the money these dedicated people get?
