EXAMS are bad enough without being given a maths question that's impossible to answer.
That's what happened to students sitting an A/S level paper recently.
The blunder, in which diagrams on the question contained two wrong figures, led to students wasting valuable time trying to solve the question, before the error was discovered.
It's the latest in a string of boobs by exam setters Edexcel who now face losing their contract to supply papers. I should think so too.
On seeing the questions, maths these days is a far cry from the subject I was best at -- though I never did really get the hang of trigonometry.
