A PENSIONER accused of a string of sex offences on young children has had his case sent to the crown court.
Albert George Thomas, 65, of Brown Birks Road, Accrington, faces a catalogue of allegations of multiple rape, indecent assault and gross indecency on three children aged between two and six.
He appeared before Ormskirk magistrates for a preliminary hearing on Tuesday and the case was committed to Preston Crown Court for trial on Tuesday, March 5.
Thomas was given conditional bail.
The sex offences are alleged to have taken place in the Huyton area of Liverpool and Skelmersdale between 1973 and 1976.
