DARWEN's recycling facilities have been moved from Knott Street car park to Darwen Leisure Centre in Green Street.
Darwen Community Association suggested the move as they felt the facility was not central enough to people.
Executive member for Housing Neighbourhood Services, Coun Mohammed Khan said: "The Darwen recycling facilities were moved from the Knott Street car park at the request of the local community association.
"The facilities are now located on Darwen Leisure Centre car park in the town centre and a notice to this effect was placed at the old site in Knot Street but this has been vandalised several times.
Leaflets explaining the new arrangements are also available at Darwen Library, Darwen Community Centre and the Town Hall.
"We feel that this new location is convenient for the residents of Darwen and hope the recycling figures reflect this."
