A DRINK-driving dad was caught out the night after the night before, Burnley Magistrates heard.
The court was told Mark Bailey had committed a similar offence some years ago -- and he ended up with a three-year ban.
Bailey, 29, of Squire Road, Nelson, admitted driving with excess alcohol and was also fined £240, with £55 costs.
Andy Robinson, prosecuting, said just after midnight, police on Queen Victoria Road, Burnley, stopped the defendant. There was no complaint of any bad or erratic driving.
At the police station, Bailey provided two breath samples and the lowest of two readings was 68 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 mililitres of breath - the legal limit is 35. He had one previous conviction for drink driving.
John Rusius, defending, said Bailey had been out the evening before with his family and had a good deal to drink.
He got up the following morning, did not drive to work and later played football. Only then did he go out, after all that time felt fit to drive and did not think he would be over the limit.
Mr Rusius added the defendant said he had learned his lesson after the first drink drive offence and would not knowingly have driven over the limit. He knew he would face a mimium ban of three years.
