A FORMER Victorian school building could soon be renovated if plans to convert it into apartments get the go ahead.
Aston Properties wants to convert the empty St Mary's RC Primary School at Sabden into seven homes, with the original school playground used for parking.
Ribble Valley Borough Council's planning and development committee will asked to approve the application tonight.
Objections have been raised by two local residents about future parking problems and as to whether the development would overlook a nearby property.
Sabden Parish Council has also raised concerns over parking and a possible increase in traffic.
But in a report to the committee, a county surveyor assessing the site says that while the proposal does not detail sufficient off-street parking, parking is unlikely to be greater than that already occurring with the nearby school use, so it would be difficult to find a reason for refusal.
