THE hard yards start here as the Clarets begin their chase for promotion.
A three-match losing run has been ditched but, with 15 games to go, finding the correct pace is of the essence.
Burnley go to Millmoor tonight looking to claim seven points from a possible nine from three away trips but Burnley boss Stan Ternent knows that they are as hard earned from strugglers as they are from promotion rivals.
"The season gets even more interesting from here," said Ternent.
"There are no easy games because those at the bottom are scrapping just as hard as those at the top.
"They're scrapping to stay up and we're scrapping to get higher up the league.
"When we play matches against people at the top of the league, they're tough because they are trying to stay there.
"But, I'm sure it will be played in a good spirit and we look forward to it.
"Promotion is a big incentive but so is avoiding relegation so, with the league being tight, you can expect every game to be interesting.
"And Rotherham have a good home record so this will be as hard as any other fixture we have to face."
From a selection point of view the Clarets have only one main worry, midfielder Tony Grant's hamstring strain sustained in the 1-1 draw with Barnsley at Oakwell on Saturday.
Kevin Ball also sustained a broken nose in that game but Grant is the main worry.
"Bally will be okay, but we will give Tony as long as we can with the hamstring," said Ternent.
"Otherwise selection will be pretty much the same.
"Steve Davis, Mitchell Thomas and Nik Michopoulos are on their way back but this is at least one game too soon.
"The skipper should play in the reserve game at Oldham on Wednesday but that game could be a little too early for Mitch and Nik - we'll have to see.
Young striker Dimitrios Papadopoulos is out of the squad for the visit to Millmoor as he has joined up with the Greek under-21 squad for a midweek friendly fixture.
Meanwhile former Clarets favourite Andy Cooke has been linked with a move to Third Division promotion hopefuls Luton Town.
Despite playing a regular part in Stoke's first team, the Hatters are believed to have offered £350,000 for the striker who left Burnley in December 2000 in a £300,000 deal.
But Stoke boss Gudjon Thordarson said he has no intention of selling the 28-year-old as his side push for promotion from the Second Division.
"Maybe Luton are preparing a bid - but my first reaction would be to reject it.
"I am trying to strengthen my squad not reduce it."
