THIS year's Watery Lane Gala in Darwen will take place on July 6, it has been decided.
Attractions include the popular tug of war competition between local pubs, morris dancing, karate and motorbike displays and a visit by barn owl Bill.
Community liaison officer for the Lodgeside Trust, Tracy Turnbull, said anyone wishing to help with the gala or hire a stall should contact her on 01254 701532 or secretary Peter Billington on 07974 867914.
The trust, together with Newrad Fisheries, is raising money for community land on the site of the old mill lodge on Watery Lane.
The land has been drained, lighting put in and four vandal-proof benches have already been bought for the site.
