ROSSENDALE's touring theatre company the Horse and Bamboo is soon to leave its base for a five-week national tour of The Girl Who Cut Flowers.
The production toured for ten weeks last autumn, and proved to be a great hit with audiences all over the country.
Programming manager Andrew Rawlinson said: "It will be the last time this production is seen as the company is currently working on it's next show, Company Of Angels - The Story of Charlotte Salomon, which will tour this Autumn.
"The Girl Who Cut Flowers, is a contemporary folk tale. Deceptively simple, it utilises the language and dream-like logic of Nursery Rhyme to tell the story of a girl, the goat who eats her soul, and her quest through the forest to retrieve it.
"It uses masks, puppetry, shadow puppetry and original music by Chris Davies, with additional music by Sarah Moody. The show is not recommended for unaccompanied children under 12."
Tickets for the preview on Saturday at the theatre's home are on sale from the box office on 01706 220241 and are priced at £3 adults and £2 under 16's
