POULTON Police are still trying to identify a mystery body washed up on the beach at Cleveleys on Sunday.
The fully-clothed body of a man, aged around 35-45 years old, was found by a dog walker at around 9am on February 9 on Cleveleys beach.
Police spokesman, Sergeant Gary Hamer of Poulton Police, said: "The body was found with a key fob bearing the name John and three keys; two mortice and one Yale."
He described the unidentified man as white, 6ft tall, with black hair, slightly balding, and a full, dark beard. He was wearing jeans and green shirt and green knitted jumper.
It is not clear when the man died, or how long the body was lying on the beach, Sgt Hamer said.
A post mortem was due to take place this afternoon (Monday, February 11), he added.
