TESTS are being carried out to determined whether a Barrowford man's death was as the result of exposure to asbestos.
Roy Lund, 81, of Holmefield Court, died in Burnley General Hospital on Friday.
Coroner's officer PC Bob Wilson told an inquest opening in Burnley that Mr Lund had been admitted to Burnley General Hospital with breathing difficulties, diagnosed as lung cancer.
Acting East Lancashire Coroner Richard Taylor adjourned the hearing pending the results of tests.
