A BRAVE shopkeeper chased two masked men out of his store after they bungled an armed robbery.
They threatened the 50-year-old shopkeeper with what he believed was a shotgun and demanded money. He refused and after a struggle chased them out of his shop in Mosley Common Road, Mosley Common.
The robbers threw bottles at the shopkeeper then escaped in the direction of Tyldesley in a waiting dark-coloured saloon, driven by a third person.
Any witnesses to the incident or anyone who witnessed the saloon car driving at speed around the area is asked to contact Leigh CID on 0161 856 7253 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
