LEIGH Round Table want organisations and individuals to apply for a share of their surplus funds.
Each year the group organises a range of fund-raising events, such as the successful firework display at Hilton Park, with the money raised directly benefiting the local community.
Now the group wants to begin distributing surplus funds to worthy causes -- both organisations and individuals requiring financial assistance are eligible to apply.
Round Table chairman, Phil Owen said: "We would like to help as many people as possible, so submissions for smaller donations of £200-£300 are particularly encouraged."
Those wishing to be considered should send appropriate details in writing to Leigh Round Table, PO Box 136, Newton-le-Willows, WA3 1XB. Applications must be received by the end of February.
