POLICE are warning people in the Darwen area to be extra vigilant following a number of shed break-ins in recent days.
A shed in Dorset Avenue was broken into overnight on Tuesday but the burglars found no valuables inside. And overnight on Monday, raiders took goods valued at £500 from a shed in Richmond Terrace. A Saricen mountain bike, black and purple Magna bike and Black and Decker power tools are missing.
On the same night, a garage in Springfield Street was broken into. A neighbour heard a vehicle reversing in the early hours and the red vehicle damaged the bumper of the resident's car.
A Flymo lawnmower valued at £100 was taken from a house in Avondale Mews overnight on Sunday.
Anyone concerned about shed security should contact the Crime Prevention Department in Blackburn on 01254 353600 for tips on how property can be secured.
