ONE of our primary considerations was the safety of our four children before we moved to Fulwood Hall Lane some ten years ago. Being a cul-de-sac the road seemed ideal.
But, mainly due to the building of a new rather up-market estate of which we were given no proper say, the volume of traffic has increased many times over.
Since Fulwood Hall Lane is fairly long and straight many vehicles simply speed to the required destination without a thought for others.
There have been several accidents, as we lost our beloved Labrador. As car owners ourselves we understand driving problems all too well.
Mr Bailey clearly puts gritting the roads and a bus service before people's lives in his letter 'Speed Ramps give me the Hump'. Just one speeding BMW is one too many.
Let's have no more blood on Fulwood Hall Lane. We need road calming, and what is more we demand it.
John and Heather Robinson and family, Fulwood Hall Lane, Preston.
