GRAEME Souness will be remembered at Blackburn Rovers as a likeable and pleasant person who took the Rovers from the First Division into the Premiership.
He will also be remembered for:
Taking Rovers back into the oblivion of the first division.
Making Rovers bankrupt.
£6.75 million for Corrado Grabbi! What a joke -- one goal in the Premiership!
£8 million for Andy Cole! What a joke -- one goal in the Premiership!
Plus wasting money on transfers and exorbitant wages for Bjornebye, Curtis, Hughes, Mahon and Neill, none of whom is Premiership material.
Plus wasting money on Hignett, Tugay and Johansson who just do not perform consistently well enough at Premiership level.
Selling players who were not good enough for Rovers -- in his opinion -- but are successful regular players with other Premiership clubs such as Dailly at West Ham, McAteer at Sunderland and Bent at Ipswich.
Uncle Jack must be turning in his grave.
F THOMPSON, Aldersleigh Crescent, Hoghton, Preston.
