CURTIS Pearce from St Bede's School in Blackburn and Laura Finucane who attends St Hilda's in Burnley were both winners in the Catholic Schools National Cross Country Championships on Sunday.
Curtis, who also runs for Blackburn Harriers took the under 13 boys crown while Laura, who is a member of Pendle Athletic Club was first senior girl.
Rachel Clements and Candy Hamilton, from St Bede's, were also highly placed at Sherdley Park in St Helens, with Rachel sixth intermediate and Candy 10th senior.
