POLICE have identified the body of a man who was found washed up on Cleveleys beach. The man from North Wales, who has not been named, was identified by dental records after a post mortem on Monday.
His fully-clothed body was found by a dog walker at around 9am on February 9 on Cleveleys beach, opposite the Royal Hotel. It is understood he could have gone into the sea at Llandudno around February 7 after he was reported missing. Sergeant Gary Hamer, of Poulton Police, said the body could have been in the sea for several days. "We suspect he may have gone in at The Great Orme, but as yet we have had no sightings," he said.
