RAMSBOTTOM United crashed out of the Lancs FA Marsden Challenge Trophy at the quarter final stage in a 2-0 home defeat by big local rivals Clitheroe.
The visitors to the Riverside Ground took an early lead on five minutes through Neil Spencer and added a killer second goal on 53 minutes from Martin Aspinall.
Clitheroe now travel to Barrow next week to contest a place in the final against the winners of the Burscough and Accrington Stanley last four clash.
