BACUP boss Brent Peters is hoping to bring in a forward before tomorrow's game at home to Ashton Town.
But Peters is keeping the identity of the Salford City player close to his chest.
"He is not getting a game for Salford and they have agreed to release him to us as long as we release him back if they need him," he said. "But I can't say who it is at the moment."
Bacup haven't played since January 29 when they beat Oldham Town 2-1 but Peters is hoping the West View pitch is up to scratch by tomorrow.
"It has been Wellington boots over the last couple of weeks but most teams have been in the same position.
"Our game on Tuesday was touch and go but even if the ref had said it was playable, by kick off it wouldn't have been because we had a downpour."
Peters says he is sticking with youth as his side bids to climb the NWCL second division table.
"We said after the Oldham Town game that we'd give the young lads a run because they'd done well. Martin Peters, Nicky Taylor and Paul Wane have come in and worked hard for each other. But if they drop their standards we'll look at it again."
