POLICE officers keen to tackle community issues including juvenile nuisance and crime are to hold a neighbourhood surgery for residents.
Neighbours in Daneshouse and Stoneyholme are invited to attend the meeting to highlight any potential problems and discuss policing in the area.
The event has been arranged by local community beat officer, PC Nic Fisher and will be held at the Daneshouse Advice Centre, Daneshouse Road, on Monday at 7pm.
PC Fisher said he had called the meeting so he could get to know more local residents and find out their views and concerns about policy in their local area.
He added: "I've been patrolling Daneshouse and Stoneyholme for around three months now and during that time I've got to know a lot of local residents.
"There are, however, many more I haven't had the chance to speak to which is why I wanted to hold a community meeting."
He said he wanted to get everyone together to talk to them about his work and what he could do to help them.
He added: "A lot of good police work is already underway in the area to tackle various issues and I want to make sure that I am tackling the right issues, the ones of most concern to local people.
"I will also be asking for support from the local community and for people to come forward with solutions as well as problems.
"Only by working together can we begin to make real inroads into issues like juvenile nuisance and crime."
