IWISH to correct any misunderstanding that may have arisen by the results of the gritting vote (LET, February 6), I was one of the people who voted 'No' to the notion of paying more council tax to ensure all roads are gritted.
This is not an endorsement of council non-policy, but a statement that we were already paying through the nose for what we get.
And, I would suggest many voted 'No' for the same reason. From reports in this newspaper very few people thought the job was done well.
At least, the bit of gritting that was done was fine -- it's the bits they missed that caused the problems.
However, it's time to put the gritting saga behind us -- it's coming up to daffodil cutting time! We're ready when they are -- votes, please. And what did that cost?
