PADIHAM travelled to Cumbria on Saturday to take on Holker Old Boys in a North West Counties League Division Two fixture and came away with a point.
In all reality however the result was of no real importance as an horrific first half injury to Holker player Mike Brown resulted in a 40 minute stoppage half an hour into the game and although the game was eventually restarted it looked as though both sets of players' thoughts were elsewhere.
For the record Padiham went ahead in the 19 minute when a through ball found Ian Pilkington and his angled shot put the Storks in front. Holker OB equalised ten minutes from the end after Simon Willis scored direct from a free kick.
In the 85 minute Padiham missed the opportunity to pick up all three points when midfield player Sean Kendal had his spot kick saved by John Clark and then blasted the rebound over with an open net.
