COUNCILLOR Taylor and Whalley's attempts to justify their pathetic performance during the recent slight fall of snow are nothing more than verbal whitewash.
Let us have some facts rather than fatuous figures that have been quoted in this newspaper:
1. How many gritting machines do Blackburn have on the road?
2. How many men are on the on call system for gritting?
3. What is the required response time for this team?
4. What is the capacity of salt per vehicle?
5. How much salt does the council have stockpiled?
6. What is the estimated time to grit all major routes through both towns?
Come on, keep us informed as to what is really going on in Toytown.
M A REDDY (Mr), Beech Grove, Darwen.
