IWOULD be interested to know if any readers remember Beechwood Tea Gardens, just outside Blackburn. I visited the place several times with my family as a young girl of about nine or 10 in the 1950s and I remember getting the bus from the Boulevard, but I can't pinpoint the exact location.
The gardens were open to the public for teas, etc and there were two white goats tethered on long leads wandering about the garden. Also, much to our delight as children, there were swingboats to ride on and an assortment of small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs and exotic birds.
Does this jog anyone's memory? If so, I would love to hear of their recollections.

Gardens, which were situated at Roman Road, Blackamoor, closed some five years ago.
