FAMILIES in the Duke Bar, Fulledge and Burnley Wood areas of Burnley joined in a Winter Warmer Fun Day on Saturday at St John's Parish Hall.
The Sure Start event, organised by children's charity NCH, was arranged as a follow up to the popular launch event last month.
Visitors were able to take advantage of the free activities, including live music, arts and crafts, kite making and a selection of food.
Burnley mascot Bertie Bee and NCH mascot Cedric the Dragon also attended the fun day.
Burnley was recently granted more than £700,000 of Government cash each year for the next seven years from the national Sure Start scheme, which aims to improve the health and well being of under-fours and their families.
NCH has taken the lead in co-ordinating the Sure Start programme in Burnley and wants to find out what the people of the town want and need from the scheme.
