IN a bid to revive the Thursday night pub and club scene in Blackburn, Bentleys Cafe Bar in Exchange Street has begun a tremendous promotional push.
And out of sympathy to the heaviest of Blackburn tipplers, entry to the bar has been dropped to £1 all night with all drinks fixed at an easy-to-calculate price of £1.
Music is provided until 2am on both Wednesday and Thursday nights with an average of 200 guests enjoying a "rocking atmosphere".
Wednesday clientele leans more to 80s and 90s dance while Thursday is more Indi and student based.
Manager at the bar Tony Flynn said: "We are really trying to lead a bit of a push to recreate the old Thursday night scene that used to make Blackburn so popular 10 years ago."
Worthington's beer is also £1 a pint on Friday to celebrate Blackburn Rovers' Worthington Cup final this weekend.
