IT was no trick of the light when Darwen artist Gail Goodson staged her exhibition of paintings for Darwen locals.
Gail put together a lifesize exhibition of "trompe l'oeil" paintings, which is French for deceiving the eye.
Her clever paintings included works where viewers believed a window existed where there was no window, and a moving grandfather clock, which was also a trick played on the eye.
The free exhibition at Sunnyhurst Woods visitor centre runs until April 1 and is open Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays between 1pm and 4.30pm.
