LOCAL, regional and even national topics will be on the agenda at the next meeting of Radcliffe Area Board.
Councillor Barry Briggs, area board chairman, said: "It looks like being a particularly busy evening, but despite the fact that we have a lot on the agenda there will be, as always, the 45-minute open forum.
"That means local people will be able to raise any issues or concerns to them and hopefully get an answer on the night, or as soon as possible after the meeting."
Items to be covered at the meeting include, Early Years and childcare provision, an ambitious plan to open up the old Radcliffe-Bury railway line and the success of the new Council Techno team.
The possibility of new mini recycling sites around Radcliffe are to be discussed. Local people's ideas are being sought for how we should celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee and the Commonwealth Games, while a Sports Development Strategy for Radcliffe will attract plenty of attention in light of the recent Cams Lane controversy.
One other local issue which continues to provoke strong feelings, is the need to address traffic problems on Eton Hill Road. The Area Board is being asked for its comments.
It meets on Wednesday (Feb 20) in Radcliffe Civic Suite from 7pm.
Agendas are available on the night or in advance from council officer David Hanson on 253 5131.
