A DRUNKEN woman who burst into a neighbour's home accused her of kicking her door, a court heard.
Burnley Magistrates were told how Joyce McCamon was falling about and later told police she had had a bottle of vodka.
McCamon, 36, of Williams Street, Colne, admitted damage and was bailed until March 5.
Teresa Feely, prosecuting, said victim Patricia Baines, who lived on Williams Street, was at home in her kitchen with her daughter and grandson.
She heard a loud banging from the direction of the front door and then a woman came running through the living room. Mrs Baines had known McCamon for a few months.
The defendant smelled of drink, was falling about and shouting that Mrs Baines had kicked her door. The victim had no idea what McCamon was talking about and her daughter asked the defendant to leave.
McCamon stayed there so somebody got hold of her and pushed her out of the front door.
The lock in the front door was broken and McCamon was arrested and interviewed. She said she had been very drunk, couldn't remember going into the house and said sorry when she was charged.
John Nuttall, defending, said McCamon's father had recently died and she had been very upset. She had been drinking heavily at home alone trying to console herself.
The defendant claimed the complainant had been round to her home recently and caused some damage.
In her drunken state, McCamon had gone round to her neighbour's to exact some revenge. While unable to explain exactly what happened, she fully accepted she caused damage to the door lock.
