DARWEN travel to local rivals Nelson tonight in the North West Counties League second division.
Darwen, who are level on points but one place behind Nelson, could leapfrog the Victoria Park side if they win.
But Nelson boss John Bailey will be hoping to build on Saturday's 3-1 win at Norton and push, as expected, for a promotion place.
Darwen go into the game on the back of a 4-2 defeat at home to league leaders Stand. The danger man in their side will be Paul Baker, who has scored 23 goals already this season.
Also in the second division, Bacup host struggling Castleton Gabriels hoping to build on their 1-0 win at home to Ashton on Saturday.
Bacup will go 12th if they win.
