MAY I reply to the article in the Journal -- Crime Purge on Estate?
Since the Crime and Disorder Bill came out almost two years ago and the implementation of the local Council Risk Management Committee came into being , local crime will continue because the answer is NOT having risk management meetings attended by councillors only and invited guests and no mention of the general public.
This meeting took over the role of the PCCG meeting now called the PVP meeting: but only four meetings a year in my opinion is not enough.
Up until then action was taken by the Chief of Police. The number of meetings was eight with two held during the day.
The problem is councillors want to control everything and blame the Police for cerime being committed on the4 streets.
We are all to blame for not taking positive action some years ago.
