A FORMER Tyldesley curate has been charged with fire-arm offences after a gun and bullets were found in his home by police.
Rev Michael Daggett, formerly of Upper George Street, Tyldesley and currently Vicar at Holy Rood in Swinton, appeared before Salford Magistrates this week charged with the unlawful possession of a firearm.
The case was adjourned until March 18.
American born Mr Daggett, aged 53, who hails from Oregon, was arrested at his vicarage on Moorside Road, Swinton, on February 12. Police seized a Derringer pistol and ammunition.
In the 1980s Mr Daggett was a curate at Tyldesley Parish Church.
