TWO local men have received Greater Manchester Ambulance Service awards for long service.
Ged Vaughan from Atherton -- an ambulance technician based at Atherleigh, and Bolton-based training manager Fred Lawrence from Leigh -- will receive certificates to mark their 25 years' service.
Mr Vaughan, 54, said: "Working with GMAS has given me many years of satisfaction, there has never been a dull moment as I never know what is round the corner or who I will meet."
Others to receive awards include George Bennett, a paramedic based at Hindley, paramedic Ronald Coulshead and operation supervisor Alan Lee.
The certificates were presented at Bolton's Reebok Stadium by Duncan Lawton, vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester.
