A SECTION of St Helens Road, Leigh, will be closed for two weekends next month for road and footpath resurfacing.
Work will be carried out between Hand Lane and Winmarleigh Gardens which will mean closures on Saturdays March 2 and 9 and Sundays March 3 and 10.
Diversions will be signed via Twist Lane, Atherleigh Way and St Helens Road.
Footpath works between Church Street and Smithy Lane Bridge, Atherton, have been completed, but Bolton Old Road between the two locations will be closed for five days between 9.30am and 4pm from Monday, March 11.
Carried out
Resurfacing work is being carried out on the East Lancashire Road between Higher Green Lane and the Salford boundary.
As a result the entrance to-exit from Chaddock Lane will be closed every Sunday upto and including March 10.
Leigh Road between Orchard Lane and Westbourne Avenue, Leigh, will be resurfaced on March 9, 10, 16 and 17. Temporary lights will be in operation.
