WHAT a lovely tribute to the late HRH Princess Margaret from Tony McGuinness, the chairman of the NSPCC Preston's branch.
Although I'm not a mad flag-waving fan of the royals I was sad to hear that Princess Margaret had died, even though it was probably expected for some time.
In her day Margaret was stunning and seemed more on a par with 'normal' folk, like Diana who also devoted much of her time to children's charities such as the NSPCC.
What a shame that these two members of the royal family, who gave so much of their time to good causes, are among the first to go. I hope the NSPCC finds a suitable president to replace her.
