PETE Banks made a winning return as Red Rose Road Runners hosted the inaugural Myerscough seven mile road race.
Banks, who at his peak was possibly the most successful road racer in East Lancashire, is now a veteran and he took over 40 honours in 41:38.
His old adversary John Wieczorek from Accrington Road Runners was just in front, seventh overall in 40:35, while Clayton Harrier Andrew Hartley logged 37:39 to finish runner up to Salford's Matt Moorhouse.
Banks' Blackburn Harrier team mates George Woodburn and Bernard Tumelty took the M50 and M60 titles as Accrington's Brian Scully finished first M65.
