FOR the second week running the team put up a marvellous show only to come away with nothing to show for it.
IT was disappointing to lose at Chelsea, but the fans were very proud of the way PNE had set about their illustrious opponents.
Chelsea certainly knew they had been in a game.
OK, the class did tell in the end, but they've given hidings to the likes of Liverpool and Man U at "the Bridge" this season and we don't think that anyone could say that Chelsea did the same to us.
Should we have had two penalties? Lots of people think so, but how often do referees go against the so called big club in these situations -- hardly ever!
Now it's back to the league and the scramble for a play-off place.
Have PNE got just too much to do to catch up with the clubs above them?
The bad start to the season and a lot of drawn matches has left us with a mountain to climb, but this young team of ours never knows when it's beaten, so perhaps we can begin to put pressure on the rest of teams around us.
They could start with a win at Norwich in yet another televised game on Friday night.
