TWO boys under the age of 17 were prosecuted for drink-driving in Bury last year, according to figures released to the borough's licensing committee.
In a report by Chief Suerpintendent Phil Hollowood, head of Bury Police, it listed the young offenders as aged between ten and 16.
A further nine 17 year olds, including a girl, were punished by the courts in 2001 for drink-driving.
Other statistics revealed that three boys and one girl aged ten to 16 were arrested for being drunk and disorderly, along with eight 17-year-old boys.
