IT was cheque out at the Asda Store in Bury to mark the handing over of cash to seven worthwhile causes.
Fund-raising by kind-hearted staff, in-store events and money awarded by the Asda Foundation all contributed towards the cash hand-outs by the Spring Street store.
Bury Family Centre and Bury Deaf Children were presented with £213 and £52 respectively while Bury Visually Impaired Children also received £52, courtesy of the Asda Foundation.
Fairfield Hospital's baby lifeline charity was awarded £183, Hurdles got £177 while the Oswaldtwistle-based Only Foals and Horses sanctuary was presented with £66.
A table-top sale and face-painting fund-raiser at the Asda store raised £100 and this cash will go to the St Francis House Children's Hospice.
The Spring Street store has also given Bury Hospice a cheque for £2,106, its yearly subscription for the Red Rose Lottery.
