THE Environment Agency has issued an all-clear notice on the River Ribble, at Ribchester, after assessing the area following the heavy rains over the last 24 hours.
Hundreds of homes were at risk after the river burst its banks close to the town, near Blackburn.
But Environment Agency officials issued the all-clear at 10.02am today.
Flood warnings have been issued at two other towns in the North-west.
The Environment Agency issued the warnings to residents along the River Mersey in Flixton, Trafford, and the River Etherow in Woolley Bridge, near Glossop.
