BLACKPOOL FC fans have scored at home and won the right for a road sign to be changed to Seasiders Way.
The former Seaside Way, which runs along the back of Bloomfield Road football stadium, was renamed after Pool fans kicked up a fuss and demanded local recognition for the team.
Coun Kath Rowson took up the fight on behalf of the fans last September after a 3,000 name petition was handed in at the town hall by organiser Mick Page.
Two new stands at Bloomfield Road, the Mortensen Spion Kop and the Matthews West Stand, are due to be opened for the first time this Saturday for the home game against Huddersfield (kick-off 1pm).
