WHAT a difference a bit of confidence makes. Late last year, Manchester's adopted sons Haven promised much.
But now they're delivering the goods.
With Nat Watson's powerful, floating guitar lines and the magical vocals of Gary Briggs, they've become the complete indie package, poised to storm the mainstream chart scene.
Perhaps last year the only missing ingredient was a bit of self belief. But with the release of their debut album 'Between The Senses' and the top 20 success of their last single 'Say Something', any lingering doubts, have long been put to bed.
Now literally oozing confidence, there is a new swagger in their step and as they ripped into an electrifying set.
And neatly hidden amongst their guitar anthems are acoustic numbers like 'This is Bliss' whose tender beauty offered another, deeper level to the Haven repertoire.
As fans from Manchester's Night and crowd make their presence felt with calls of encouragement, they moved things up a gear.
Finishing the main section with four massive guitar tracks -- that will go on to live anthems -- they looked invincible.
From the soul searching of 'Say Something', a perfect mix of timeless guitars and amazing voice, to the compelling and equally stirring psychedelic power of 'Still Tonight', there can is no doubt, this tour is the highlight of the Spring.
Catch Haven play at Liverpool Lomax on March 2 and Manchester University on March 8.
