A 19-YEAR-old man accused of murdering a 22-year-old woman from Darwen, made another brief appearance at the Old Bailey yesterday.
Gareth Richard Horton, of Walmsley Street, Darwen, was remanded in custody until April 8 for a plea and directions hearing.
Horton was arrested in Southwark, south London after the body of Charlotte Flanagan was found on New Year's Day in the bedroom of her fourth-floor flat above the Barley Mow public house in London's West End, where she worked.
She had been stabbed in the neck.
Miss Flanagan's mother, Dorothy, is a practice nurse at Darwen Health Centre and lives at Melville Gardens, Darwen.
